FLAT LAND

I stumbled on the idea for FLAT LAND after midnight, rooting through an old 1940s flat file cabinet in my studio. Among the yellowing pages and half-forgotten sketches, I found a sheet of paper folded in a way that twisted my understanding of letterforms. I painted new letters out by hand, sliced the shapes free with a knife, and pieced them together until something bold emerged. FLAT LAND is a true experimental sans serif—solid, daring, and not for the faint of heart. Its lines refuse to blend in, standing firm like the pillars of a monument. When you see it used in a publication or for a brand, you know someone made a conscious choice to take a leap. That’s the spirit of FLAT LAND: born of accidental folds, hammered into new forms, and ready to make a statement that demands to be heard.
