Et un Océan was sketched in a flurry of after-midnight inspiration, evoking the smoky cafés and restless shadows of Godard’s 1960s Paris. It took its cues from the bold yet spare title credits of Masculin Féminin, where letters flicker and fade against the stark black and white of the frame. Each character carries a bit of that New Wave spirit—simple, direct, and always hinting at the possibility of revolution. When you set your words in Et un Océan, you feel the hum of existential chatter drifting through Montparnasse alleys. There’s something simultaneously casual and profound in its design, a reflection of young faces caught between idealism and disillusion. It’s more than a typeface—it’s an echo from the reels of a movie that dared to question everything. Every line suggests a dialogue with the future, reminding us that sometimes all you need is a steady hand, a grainy film reel, and an unspoken dream to spark a revolution in hearts and minds.
